Training Title: Scientific Article Writing Workshop for Students (SLR #1)

Theme: Writing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) Article

Objective: To improve the competence of Master’s students in Mathematics Education at UMS in writing review articles (SLR).

Implementation: October 9, 2025 — conducted online

Participants: 17 Master’s students

Opening Remarks:
Delivered by Prof. Budi Murtiyasa, Head of the Master’s Program in Mathematics Education

  • Emphasized the importance of students’ ability to write scientific articles
  • Highlighted that scientific articles serve as both course outputs and thesis examination requirements
  • Encouraged students to enhance recognition through scientific publications

Speaker: Naufal Ishartono, Ph.D.

  • Presented examples of SLR articles authored by the speaker
  • Explained the urgency and significance of conducting SLR research
  • Described the procedures for writing an SLR article
  • Demonstrated how to use databases such as Scopus and ERIC to collect SLR data sources
  • Provided examples of using AI (ChatGPT) to generate SLR research questions
